PM Risk Guard ("we", "us", or "the Extension") is an unofficial third-party Chrome extension that helps users practice responsible trading and risk management on Polymarket.com. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Polymarket (Blockratize Inc.) in any way.

Information We Collect

We collect the absolute minimum data required to provide the risk-management features:

Wallet Address - You may connect via MetaMask or manually enter an Ethereum wallet address (must start with "0x" and be exactly 42 characters). This address is stored only in your browser's chrome.storage.local under the key walletAddress.
Polymarket Activity Data - We fetch your positions, trades, PnL, and activity directly from the public Polymarket Data API using your wallet address. This data is never saved to our servers.

We do not collect or store:

Private keys, seed phrases, or any signing credentials
Personal information (name, email, IP address, etc.)
Browser history, cookies, or tracking data
Any analytics or telemetry

How We Use Your Information

Your wallet address and fetched activity data are used exclusively inside the extension to:

Calculate your live Risk Score (0-100), exposure percentage, PnL, loss streaks, and trade frequency
Display bankroll protection tools, cooling-off periods, and trade guardrails on Polymarket.com
Enforce responsible-gambling features (soft guidance at score 71+, hard protection at score 85+)

All calculations happen locally in your browser. No data is sent to any external server we control.

Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally in your Chrome browser using the official chrome.storage.local API. Nothing is transmitted to us or any third party except the read-only calls to Polymarket's public Data API.

We do not have access to your data. You can delete everything at any time by:

Clicking "Clear / Disconnect Wallet" inside the extension popup, or
Going to chrome://settings/content/siteData and clearing storage for pmriskguard.com (or removing the extension entirely).

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. The only external communication is the necessary read-only API calls to Polymarket's Data API to retrieve your own public trading activity.

Your Rights and Choices

You have full control:

Disconnect or clear your wallet address at any time
Disable the extension completely
Request a copy of the (minimal) data we hold locally by inspecting chrome.storage.local

Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will be changed. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the new policy.
